The eighth annual Veterans Day Parade at Chaffee Crossing will be a fun-filled day for veterans and families. This year we will honor WWI veterans and their descendants as well as newly inducted members of the Arkansas Veterans Hall of Fame.
Floats, trucks, cars, tractors, walkers, runners, cyclists and other creative ways of participation are welcome! Please click on the links at the top and bottom of this page to register if you plan to participate in the parade or host a Veteran Information Booth.
Each year in association with the Regional Veterans Day Parade, Positive People of Fort Smith members collect food and winter clothing items to help veterans and others in need.

The Fort Smith Board of Directors passed resolutions Tuesday night approving participation in the Arkansas Tax Back program for Twin Rivers Foods and Nidec Motor Corp. Nidec will be locating a new office of 24 professionals in the Chaffee Crossing HIstoric District.
Japan-based Nidec Motor Corporation will renovate a facility in the Chaffee Crossing Historic District for a new operation in the city, creating 24 new professional jobs with an hourly wage of $35.04.
