McClure Amphitheater

The newly renovated McClure Amphitheater is located right off Massard Road across from Cisterna Villa in Chaffee Crossing. An original Camp Chaffee era structure built for army training, the outdoor, hillside stadium provides the most beautiful views of the city of Fort Smith in the area. It will be available by appointment for public events and gatherings. The county bike trail is being incorporated along the ridge that runs along the amphitheater, offering a perfect resting stop for outdoor enthusiasts.

 


Flight Masters RAC Field

Flight Masters members and their guests enjoy flying most every type of RC aircraft including Scale, Aerobatic, 3D, Sport, Trainers, Antique, Warbirds, Combat, Foamies, Helicopters, and even a few Control-line planes.  
 
Flight Masters meets at the Chaffee Crossing Field, which is located just north of Arkansas Highway 22, directly north of the old Fort Chaffee main gate. Chaffee Crossing field has two runways that are each 600 feet long. The field has a covered pavilion for visitors and two covered concrete pads for pilots.
